Police update Wantage crash that injured BMW and Mazda drivers

The drivers of two cars involved in a head-on crash near Wantage remain in hospital, police said. The men were behind the wheels of an orange BMW 1 series and a grey Mazda 3 when the vehicles collided

The drivers of two cars involved in a head-on crash near Wantage remain in hospital, police said.

The men were behind the wheels of an orange BMW 1 series and a grey Mazda 3 when the vehicles collided head-on on the A338 Station Road, between Grove and Wantage, at 1am on Friday morning (July 28).

Both men were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

This afternoon, a spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police confirmed that both men remained in hospital.

PC Jon Simpkins said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, saw either of the vehicles involved prior to the collision or anyone who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage to please come forward."
